Second layer of paint on the body?! HELL YA! I decided to skip working on the graffiti just to paint the second layer of skin. As you can see the body and top leg looks warmer and smoother than the bottom leg and thats because I took a different approach to painting this area. For the bottom leg I glazed over the first layer to get a realistic look. The problem is the new layer looked foggy, and I think it's due to using titanium white for the glaze. At the time no art store had any other white but FINALLY I got my hands on some different whites like zinc white and soft mixing white. Both of these are much better for glazing than titanium white because titanium white is pretty thick as to where zinc white is pretty transparent making it ideal for glazing. I think this will help get rid of that white filmy look. Now that we have all that skin played in there it's time to correct my colors and get all of the skin to where I want it to be. I'm looking for more of a light skinned pail look. Next week we should be working on the clouds and some facial details.
